According to the World Meteorological Organization the average global temperature is now 1.1oC higher compared to per-industrial times, leading to increase of extreme weather events across the globe. The COP26 summit, to be held in Glasgow from 1 to 12 November, 2021, will bring countries together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. 2021 is significant pivotal year for climate action as the agreements measures take effect.

Fun Fact - 42% of all global wood harvest is used to make paper. 10 Liters of water is needed to make one piece of a4 paper. And in the US for Newyork Times to print only Sunday's edition they use 75,000 tree’s worth of paper. Imagine what we are doing to the environment. From 2001 - 2019 a total of 386 Million hectares of forest were lost globally. And paper is one of the products created from all this mess. One Tree produces enough oxygen for 3 people. The forum brings student activists together to share ideas , learn , connect and act on the global imperative of addressing climate change. one of the most important benefits of recycling papers is that we don't have to manufacture it again since it's not easy and also it’s an expensive process. It takes more wood than making furniture, more water and energy. Manufacturing paper uses chemicals like limestone, sulfur and bleach. The byproduct of these chemicals are harmful to the environment if they are not properly disposed .
